The time has finally come to talk about a project that I care a lot about and for which I am working on the last missing illustrations. Christian Sartirana, Italian horror writer much appreciated by fans of the "weird" genre, asked me to create 12 illustrations, 6 in color and 6 in black and white, for his new novel, a very special story that explores the descent into madness of the Lovecraftian character R.U. Pickman. The novel will be translated in English and will contain, in addition to my illustrations, a series of reproductions of documents from the 1920s. I'll reveal more details and show you new illustrations soon, but beware of your sanity!
Recently my DA activity has been somewhat limited. This is mainly due to the fact that I followed projects that diverted my attention from the promotion of my drawings, focusing it on the creation of new images, some of which have seen the light, not always in forms that I fully approved, others perhaps will see the light in the future. At the end of a project that I care a lot about, and which I will talk about in the next posts, I hope to finally find the time to dedicate myself to something really personal that has been in my head for a while. My attention was also attracted by the infamous Facebook, which while remaining an excellent advertising tool for one's work, does not go beyond that, often ending in sterile political or sports squabbles or degenerating into condominium disputes that have little to do with healthy sharing of views. Here on DA I have always found a much more receptive audience and fellow artists and I hope to find some of them again after this long break.
