Artist's Comments

A work inspired by one of the most powerful book chapter ever written. Directly from the saga "A song of Ice and Fire" by the extraordinary author George R.R. Martin, here is my personal interpretation of the Red Wedding.
I'm really honoured that Mr. George R.R. Martin's himself decided to host this work on his website. You can see it here: [link]

Acrylics, coloured pencils and watercolours on paper.

I sincerely hope you like it!

Daily DeviationRed Wedding by ~FatherStone is absolutely a feast for the eyes! As suggester said of this artist's A Song Of Ice and Fire pieces, "they capture the vivid intensity and horror of the series. " The detail is superb, and it will take more than just a glance to see all this artwork has to offer! (Suggested by ~bananorama and Featured by ^ArtisticAunJuli)

Awesome work man! I love your use of color, as well as the style. Very good stuff indeed.

Keep it up.
Superbly detailed and colored. I love the style and figure work. Complex and beautiful.

Thanks a lot, mate! I'm glad you like the figure work. I especially try to paint Robb with a mixture of pain, sadness and remorse in his eyes. I'm glad of your comment.
Thanks a lot, man! It was a huge work, but I'm pretty satisfied about the result.
